What data we handle
Contact form
Data handled: name, email address, phone number (optional), subject, the text of your message, and as technical data your IP address and browser identifier.
Purpose: to answer your enquiry.
Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the checkbox when you submit the form.
Cake order request
Data handled: name, email address, phone number, type of occasion, requested pick-up date, number of servings, flavour preference, allergy note, any other message, plus IP address and browser identifier.
Purpose: to process the request and agree the details with you.
Legal basis: your consent, and steps taken prior to entering into a contract.
An allergy note may qualify as health data. We ask for it solely so that we can fulfil the order safely, and we use it for no other purpose.
Newsletter
Data handled: email address, name (optional), the language and time of the subscription, IP address.
Purpose: to send you news about our products and our opening hours.
Legal basis: your explicit consent. The subscription uses double opt-in: it only becomes valid once you click the link in the confirmation email.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of each newsletter.
Visitor statistics
We use a web analytics service to measure how the website is used. This service may place cookies on your device and collects aggregated data about how many visitors view which pages and for how long.
Legal basis: your consent, which you can give or withdraw in the cookie settings.
How long we keep the data
- Contact messages and cake order requests: for up to 24 months after the enquiry is closed, after which they are deleted.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
- Accounting records: for the retention period required by law.
Who we share the data with
The data is accessible to those members of the confectionery's staff who need it for their work. Our hosting provider, the operator of the newsletter system and the web analytics provider act as data processors.

Your rights
You may request access to your personal data, its rectification, erasure or the restriction of its processing, you may object to the processing, and you may request data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
You can submit your request using the contact details on the Contact page. We will respond within one month at the latest.
Remedies
If you believe that our data processing infringes your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11., ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu), or bring the matter before a court.
