Somlói sponge cake
Three kinds of sponge with walnut, raisin, vanilla cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.
Somlói galuska is a layered dessert: vanilla, cocoa and walnut sponge stacked with raisins and vanilla cream, finished with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The sponge is soaked in rum-flavoured syrup, which keeps it moist rather than crumbly.
It is served in a bowl rather than sliced. Available without alcohol on request – we replace the rum with vanilla syrup.
Serving
Served cold in a bowl, with the chocolate sauce and whipped cream added just before it goes out.

Egg, flour, sugar, cocoa, walnut, raisin, milk, vanilla, cream, rum, dark chocolate.
